Define clue extraction rules

In order to widen the scope to extract data, clues in parellel with data are extracted from a target Web page. Please refer Phrases and Abbreviations#Clue for detailed explaination on the concept. This chapter shows how to create clue extraction rules which are made up of a group of XPath expressions to locate clues. All the extraction rules are generated automatically by the MetaStudio after having performed the operations stated in this chapter by the user. The core purpose of the operations is to tell MetaSeeker where to locate a clue, which is achieved via clue mapping performed on the work board Clue Editor. As a result, MetaStudio stores the extraction rules into Data and Clue Extraction Instruction Files and upload them onto the DataStore server.
